The public records we read to find independent inpatient provider groups for Claimocity, ordered by how close each sits to a change in who codes and bills the group's professional fees. Every account on the Accounts tab came out of one of these classes.

Two gates, in this order

First the group has to own its professional-fee billing on a public record: a CMS group enrollment under its own name, a patient-billing page or FAQ on its own site, a named billing partner, or a billing or coding role on its own careers page. A facility-employed program never passes this gate, however loud its contract news.

Only then do we look for the dated change: a new facility contract, a contract loss or re-award, a new service line, a first finance or revenue-cycle leader, a merger or recapitalization, or a payment-model shock. A filed record beats an announcement; an announcement beats a job post.

Closest to the billing decision

Weeks to a quarter out

Records a group or hospital creates because it must, or dated statements from the parties themselves.

Contract loss or hospital in-sourcing

A hospital ends a contracted group's coverage or begins recruiting employed hospitalists for the same unit. The group's professional billing volume and setup change on the end date whatever it decides next.

From this screenSouthern Oregon Hospitalists, P.C.: Asante is recruiting hospital-employed hospitalists for Rogue Regional, the hospital this 51-clinician independent group has covered since 2003; local reporting puts the contract end in early February 2027.

New facility contract or service line

A group adds a hospital, a post-acute facility, or a new encounter type such as emergency medicine. The first quarter of a new stream is when its coding and charge path get set.

Merger, recapitalization, or new finance leader

A change of owner or a first CFO or revenue-cycle leader at an independent group. Not seen on a current independent inpatient group in this screen; national groups with such moves were held for scale or competing platforms.

Qualifying the buyer

Read before any timing signal

These records decide whether a group is the reader's buyer at all.

CMS Doctors and Clinicians group enrollment

The National Downloadable File lists each clinician under the organization that bills for them, with an Org PAC ID and member count. A group enrolled under its own name is its own billing organization; hospitalists enrolled under a hospital or health-system affiliate are employed for billing purposes.

Patient-billing page or named billing partner

A group that tells patients a separate bill comes from the group, or names the company that answers billing questions, has shown who owns the professional fee.

State business registry

Officer names for a PC or PLLC come from the state registry, not from a directory. That is how the president of a group with a 2022-era website gets named.

Local news of a launch or termination

Small-market radio and newspaper reports often carry the only dated statement of a hospitalist launch or contract end. We use them to date a window, then require a group, hospital, or CMS record before an account is shown.

Job postings

A hospital recruiting employed hospitalists, or a group posting a biller or coder, confirms the seam. It does not originate a window and never carries rank one alone.

What each account arrives with

The group and the specific record that surfaced it, linked to the primary source with its date
The public record that shows the group bills its own professional fees
The person who owns the billing decision, with title, from a leadership page or state registry
The suggested first line and the correction, so outreach never claims more than the record shows

Names are cut by Claimocity before anything is written to them.
